The photos were taken on August 12th, 2025, on the Jotani islands in Bihać, Bosnia and Hercegovina, only a few minutes from where I live. That same day, when the public erupted in anger over a nearby factory spilling waste into the Una River — celebrated as the cleanest river in Bosnia and Herzegovina — I decided to turn my lens away from the scandal and toward what had been there all along: the quiet, normalized pollution of everyday life.

the series reveals the contradiction between beauty and neglect, the coexistence of pride and decay. The forest and river still glow with life, yet frame is interrupted by smoke and human waste.
